This incredible Wine Red colored silk has large alternating stripes of satin and moiré and is truly unique. Even the back looks good. And it is 100% silk!
This fabric has a substantial hand and would be best for a tailored or draped garment, such as a mid-century 18th century sacque back (robe a la francaise), a mantau-au-lit, or a robe volante. It could also make up into a very lovely Victorian bustle gown or ball gown!
