This 100% cotton lawn is HAND printed in India using the traditional block print technique. Hand-carved blocks are used, one for each outline or color. And the fabric is soft and smooth with a lovely drape.
This one has small stylized stars about 5/8″ wide in light Purple and Dusty Peach. It is perfect for a gown from 1800-1820’s and would even make a lovely modern summer dress or shirt.
(NOTE: Due to the nature of these hand-done block prints, the colors may be uneven or misaligned. However, we think it adds to the beauty and contrasts with modern-made perfect prints. The colors do not run, but the fabric will have a distinctive “dye” smell until it is washed.)
