Lynn McMasters & Stephanie Flora are coming to Renaissance Fabrics!
Learn to master some important hand sewing stitches while making your choice of two different day caps from cotton lawn. One style spans mid.18th C and early 19th C while the other works for Regency and Romantic (with a slight alteration to the pattern). The class will start with making samples of the stitches for your reference and practice. The four stitches will be a rolled hem, rolled gathering, backstitch and french seam.
The teachers are right- and left-handed so everyone will have appropriate guidance.
Class fee includes: 1 yard of cotton lawn fabric and the pattern. You will need to launder & starch the fabric in advance.
About the Instructors:
Lynn McMasters-(left handed) is a pattern maker who loves both sewing machine and hand sewing.
Stephanie Flora–(right handed) is an excellent quilter, primarily using applique, but transferred those skills to making several Dickens dresses all 100% by hand.
