This 100% cotton lawn is HAND printed in India using the traditional block print technique. Hand-carved blocks are used, one for each outline or color. And the fabric is soft and smooth with a lovely drape.
This one has floral sprigs in two shades of Blue AND a border print design on one edge! The design runs selvage to selvage, not down the length of the fabric. It is perfect for a Regency/early 19th century gown or tiered skirt.
(NOTE: Due to the nature of these hand-done block prints, the colors may be uneven or misaligned. However, we think it adds to the beauty and contrasts with modern-made perfect prints. The colors do not run, but the fabric will have a distinctive “dye” smell until it is washed.)
